Many of my friends have been asking me how they can start their own blogs at no cost.
Why I chose Blogger over WordPress
There are so many reasons why I chose to pick blogger instead of WordPress. To be honest at the first, when I started blogging I chose blogger which is a free platform. After a few weeks, I read some articles praising how WordPress is and how you can rank so fast. I opened an account and started to blog using WordPress. After a while, I left the blog of WordPress because I had no cash to pay for the upgrade. I found it so complicated to handle since I had no knowledge.
· Blogger is the easiest platform to blog on.
Blogger doesn't request much for you to start blogging. When you open your blogging account in blogger all you have to do is to choose your blog title and address and boom! You get started.
Blogger doesn't need a lot of settings like WordPress to do. You must have enough knowledge on how to use WordPress before you begin. You might end up lost in your blog settings if you have no idea of what you are doing.
· Blogger is a free Google platform, the master of SEO (Search Engine Optimization).
Yes! Blogger is a platform that Google developed. This means that blogger has many opportunities of easy indexing. If you may ask, what is indexing? Don't worry about that I got you covered. Indexing is the process by which Google submits your articles to the search engine.
When your articles are already indexed in the search engine, it's very easy for people to find them. Google search engine is the largest search engine that people all over the world use. Many people will prefer to use it because it contains the best results ever. If you compare it with Bing, Yandex, Ask, and many others that exist, Google will always be the best.
Another reason to why we need our articles to be index; if there is a possibility of it to happen then you are cool. Yeah! It is free. You will not need to pay for anything. The only thing you can do is to buy a custom domain and connect it with your blog. That is the point where you will have to pay a dime.

The hosting too is free of charge. Google hosts everything on your blog. This is why I’m saying that it is the best starting point for a beginner. The reason why I’m saying this is that; when you begin blogging you can’t expect to get a profit after a few months. By that time you will have nothing to pay for your hosting ground. With blogger, you can start your blog without having any stress. The thoughts of how you are going to pay for the hosting company will no longer concern you.
· Secured.
Blogger blog is usually secured. It’s very hard for anyone to hack your blog. This is the most important thing when it comes to blogging. We need safe hosting, secured and protected for the better of our blogs. Google gives you the security to your blog without paying anything. In which in other hosting rounds you will have to pay for the security offered to your blog.
· Different and amazing themes offered by Google.
When you have created your own blog at blogger you don’t need to worry about the appearance of your blog. Blogger offers very different types of themes that you can apply on your blog. These themes they offer are already SEO optimized. They are super-fast—something that every blog owner wants to have.

All you need is to log in your go to blogger.com. Sign up for your account. For you to create this account you only need a Google account.
Choose your blog title. When you are about to choose your blog title; here is where you have to think of a title that will rhyme with your niche. Niche is the topic that you will be talking about in your blog. For instance, I chose life blogger as my blog title because my blog talks about lifestyle. Lifestyle is the main theme in my blog. You can also include a few choices topics apart from your niche. I chose topics like motivational, educational and blogging tips apart from lifestyle.
When you need to choose the title for your blog make sure you pick a title that is relevant to your blog niche. You can’t choose Automotive Plant yet you want to talk about groceries. Make sure your title is unique enough and stands firm above the other blogs. This is what will make people get attracted to get to find out more about your blog.
On the matters of the address, Google offers free Blogspot address. Do whatever you can to make sure you also include your title in the blog address. Make it short and clear.
Once you have chosen your blog title and address the remaining thing is to choose a theme of your choice. For me, I’ll advise you to choose Emporio. It is well laid out.

Search console is very significant when it comes to your blog. Every blogger has his or her own search console. It’s through the search console that bloggers are able to submit their articles for them to get indexed. Earlier I talked about issues of SEO optimization. I even talked about the importance of indexing. So, make a step forward on ensuring that your blog address is in the indexes of the search engine. That is the first thing you ought to do.
It can take several weeks before your blog is indexed in the search console. As you are waiting for your blog to be indexed don’t sit around doing nothing. Start writing articles and share them for people to be aware that you have started your won blog.
Another thing you can do is search the console is to submit your sitemap.

Google analytics is a free account also that you can create for your blog. Once you have created your blog. You will need to know the number of people visiting your blog. The time they spend on your blog, the articles that they get interested on. Furthermore, you will need to know where these people are coming from. Google analytics is ready to provide you with that information for free of charge.
All you have to do is create an analytic account. Google analytic account and open your account.
Once you have created this account you will receive a tracking code. This tracking code is very essential especially when it comes to connecting your blog with the analytic account.
I know you may have no idea on how to install this code in your blogger. Don’t worry about that I have got you covered.
The code that you have taken from Google Analytics has to get installed in the theme of your blog. The theme of your blog contains codes. It can be HTML or XML code.
Go to your blogger account. On the left side of your menu, you will be able to see a theme.
Click on the theme. Check the screenshot. On the customization of your theme click the drop-down menu. Then you will edit you’re your theme.
In the code of your blog you have to check where the head of your blog starts. Caution! You have to be extra careful here because this is the heart of the blog you created. If you mess with these codes you will be messing with the appearance of the whole blog. So, don’t delete anything in these codes.
Find where the heads begin, below it pastes the code you took from the google analytics account. Then don’t forget to click save.
After that you have finished connecting your blog with Google analytics.
I want to let you know that blog needs commitment. If you have a passion for writing this will be so easy for you. Every article that you publish needs marketing. You have to know that sometimes you may get discouraged by the amount of traffic you will be receiving. Traffic tends to be so few at the begging since people aren't aware of your blog. This is the biggest challenge. At first, you have to work hard and smart for your blog to receive traffic.
A blog without traffic is like a car without gas. Nothing will work out there. The main aim of why you have started your blog is to make sure the message you intend to write reaches the right people. It’s so amazing when you write an article and many people congratulate you on the information you shared. This means that you are well aware of what you are doing.
We have those who want to start a blog for the aim of earning money. That isn’t bad. Though, you have to ready to work on it and be patient. You won’t get that cash overnight. People get so much from their blogs. This is when their blog has been well established. The amount of traffic you receive is significant. Their articles rank in the Google search engine. Which this might take years to get fulfilled if you are a beginner.
The motives that have to drive you in your blog are the passion. Create your articles with a target to make folks enjoy them. When this is the first motive that drives you, you will be definitely successful. I have seen so many people who tried to create blogs with their intentions of making money after a few months. When they found out that those blogs didn’t meet their expectations they end up leaving the blogs unattended.
